UK Announces 2035 Ban on New Petrol and Diesel Cars
The UK government confirms all new cars must be zero-emission by 2035

The UK government has confirmed that the sale of new petrol and diesel cars will be banned from 2035, five years earlier than previously planned.

From 2035, all new cars and vans sold in the UK must be fully electric or use other zero-emission technology. The government has pledged £1.3 billion to accelerate the rollout of charging points across England.

Major manufacturers including Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, and Bentley have already announced plans to go fully electric before the deadline.
